Eataly Chicago is one of my favorite places to grab food when I’m in town. The last time I was there I just caught the end of their pop-up restaurant Ristorante Toscano, featuring Tuscan food and wine.
When I looked at the menu online I must have missed the gnocchi in a sage sauce, because my plan was just to try a glass of wine that I’d only be able to get at the pop up. Having dinner there was not on the original agenda, but I’m glad I did.
After dinner, the chefs explained to me how they make a “tea” with the herbs and then use that to make the sauce. I cannot wait to try that at home.
