You may, or may not, know that I go to Chicago a lot for work, and to see friends. One of the places I’ve always walk past is Enolo Wine Cafe in River North.
Every time I’ve walked past there it’s been packed, plus, I thought it was going to be very expensive. Wine plus cafe in the same sentence usually means crazy high prices. But, I had seen a post on instagram that featured their food, and it looked really good so I looked up their menu. Not bad at all. Actually they were very affordable, and when I say affordable, I like to look for a place I can have dinner under, or close to, $20 before tip. In a city, it doesn’t always happen, but I try.
The menu featured pizzas, pastas, appetizers, cheese plates and more. It was simple, but had a great selection. I had always thought of it as a place I’d go after dinner, but because the prices were in my typical range, I figured I would try it for dinner instead.
I hate to admit this, but there were no leftovers! The homemade pizza served on a wooden board, was the perfect meal. And, the olives were an excellent side to accompany them. However, for some reason, I forgot to take a photo of that!
